Global Warming is something that is affecting us and will affect
us in the future worse. Some people think that hot weather is good
which is actually wrong. As most people know from news that there
have been a lot more hurricanes than before. This is not just
coincidental. Global warming is affecting us very severely with
more hurricanes and odd rain and snow storm.
How is global warming caused? Many people do not know how global warming is caused and what causes it. It is simple everyone causes it but not to severely. It is mostly what we demand that causes global warming. From driving our car just to go to the corner store to forgetting that the room light is on, this all needs energy which usually comes from the burning of fossil fuels. When driving a car or burning anything, what comes out is a very important greenhouse gas called carbon dioxide. This is the main gas in Global Warming. How global warming works? There are many greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Without them the earths average temperature would be -18 degrees Celsius but too much could also be very catastrophic. The sun lets in many short-wave radiation heat and when it bounces off the earth it becomes long-wave radiation heat which leaves the earth. The greenhouse gas stops some of that radiation and keeps it in the earth like a greenhouse (where you grow plants). Too much of this gas will keep the earth very hot. What will happen if the world is too hot? Briefly, if the earth is too hot then all the ice caps in the polar regions will melt which will make the oceans level rise. This is really terrible because mostly all of the coastal cities will be underwater. Which means bye-bye to New Orleans, Miami, New York, Los Angeles, all of England, Venice, all of Portugal, and many others. What can you do to stop Global Warming?
